Selling/Buying-The Process (see
above links)
If it will be more difficult to find what you want in your next
home, we begin the home search first. If it will be more difficult
to sell your existing home then we will begin marketing first.
The goal is an orderly sale and purchase. This process allows
you to sell your home and buy your next home with the information
necessary to make informed choices.
For discussion, let's say it will be more difficult to find your
next home. The process would look something like: (B this point
the market analyses would have been completed.)
- Apply for and be underwritten for your next loan.
- Prepare the paperwork for signature to sell your home, absent
signatures. Order the lawn
sign but do not place the sign in the lawn.
- Begin the preliminary search and interior review of homes
on market.
- As you become comfortable with the marketplace, sign the listing
documents and authorize
the lawn sign to be posted.
- Make an offer on a home to purchase. Homebuyer Associates
is your exclusive buyer agent.
- Accept an offer on your home. Homebuyer Associates and RE/MAX
structure you sale based on your offer to purchase your next
home. Homebuyer Associates remains the lead
agent in coordinating the transactions. Why? We want you to
avoid panic and stress.
- Schedule closings with the goal in mind of one move and to
avoid two housing payments.
Think of selling and buying as a chess game. While I no longer
play chess, I was the 10-year-old chess champ of Merrill Park
many years ago. With the proper moves you won't be checkmated
by the traditional system.
